Ok you're probably going to say in this case that I had such a strong hand it's really an easy thing to do, but that doesn't necessarily make it the right thing to do unless you can put your opponent on a resonaby competitive hand that you figure he is going to have a hrad tim folding.
Now as this Midnight Madness tournament is a TURBO version, it's even more likely you're going to get calls from medium strength hands. In this hand, I have to put my opponent on some kind of strength here. The best I could hope for is that he was chasing a flush in spite of the paired board, but I wasn't thinking that as much as I was an A5 or K5. If he has the flush, I am getting a call virtually 100% of the time. If he has trips, I figure to get called at least 50% of the time, so it really makes sense to bet for maximum value here as opposed to a smaller value bet.
